Classes Offered at Spartans Boxing Clubs (part 1/3)

By Boxing

Spartans Boxing Clubs offer a huge range of classes to suit their membership needs. We don’t mandate classes to each franchisee, they select the most appropriate classes for their audience, and each class comes with its own training program. Over this series of 3 posts, we’ll explore all the classes we offer to Spartans Franchisees and what each class entails. So, let’s begin with some of the mainstay classes offered by almost all of our franchises.

Spartans BASIC BOXING Classes

The Basic Boxing class is designed for beginners to explore boxing as a sport and a mode of fitness. It focuses on boxing fundamentals, basic drills and the different types of fitness required for boxing. The class is generally used as an introduction to boxing and is a great lead generation tool.

Spartans INTERMEDIATE BOXING Classes

For members that have been attending the basic classes regularly, intermediate boxing allows them to level up! This class introduces some of the most complex footwork manoeuvres, as well as a more advanced techniques within each element of the sweet science. It is also a higher intensity.

Spartans ALL LEVEL BOXING Classes

This is the bread and butter of most Spartans Boxing Club gyms. It incorporates members of all levels and is designed so that everyone gets something out of it. For beginners, it’s an opportunity to explore what other members at different levels are doing; for those more advanced, it’s a way of improving their overall fitness levels.

Spartans TECHNIQUE BOXING Classes

This class is a much slower tempo than most classes. This is all about exploring boxing techniques and ring IQ. It focuses on advanced techniques such as framing, countering, trap setting and pace control.

Spartans PARTNER PADWORK

Padwork, in general, is loved by all members. The opportunity to work with a partner makes this class all the more exciting. During this session, members work together on pre-defined drills. There’s always a safety briefing at the start to ensure that nobody gets injured. Working with a partner in this way gives members the opportunity to see padwork from both sides, which in turn helps them refine their own technique.

These are the main classes offered by almost all of our gyms. Sometimes a class can be a hybrid class. For example, an All-Levels class may be combined with a Partner Padwork class to mix things up a little. The important thing is that members enjoy the experience and come back for more.
